EARLY REGISTRATION ADVISING (ERA)

These modules will provide you with the academic information necessary to enroll yourself in your first-semester classes.

How it works:

STEP 1
Review the ERA Course Modules

These modules will help you learn about the classes that make up a degree at Appalachian, and how to build your first-semester class scheduleYou must complete these modules before your Orientation session.

STEP 2
Complete the ERA Quiz at the end of this course.

After completing these modules, you are required to complete the ERA quiz. Upon passing the quiz you will be provided a PIN number that is needed for class registration.

STEP 3
Register for Classes

Once you have completed these modules and passed the quiz at the end (70% or higher), you will be prepared to register for your first semester of classes. You must register for your classes through AppalNet Self Service before arriving for Orientation. Not to worry; we have plenty of ways for you to access help while you are registering.

Tips for getting the most from these modules:
  • Review all the modules well before Orientation – they are mandatory.

  • View the modules in succession – the information builds from one module to the next.

  • Pace yourself – give yourself time to understand each module.

  • Review the modules again, especially your intended major program of study, prior to your class enrollment period.

  • If possible, we recommend using a computer to complete this course rather than a mobile device.

  • Take notes and test your knowledge throughout the modules with the Test Your Knowledge icons.
