EARLY REGISTRATION ADVISING (ERA)
These modules will provide you with the academic information necessary to enroll yourself in your first-semester classes.
How it works:
Review the ERA Course Modules
These modules will help you learn about the classes that make up a degree at Appalachian, and how to build your first-semester class schedule. You must complete these modules before your Orientation session.
Complete the ERA Quiz at the end of this course.
After completing these modules, you are required to complete the ERA quiz. Upon passing the quiz you will be provided a PIN number that is needed for class registration.
Register for Classes
Once you have completed these modules and passed the quiz at the end (70% or higher), you will be prepared to register for your first semester of classes. You must register for your classes through AppalNet Self Service before arriving for Orientation. Not to worry; we have plenty of ways for you to access help while you are registering.
Tips for getting the most from these modules:
Review all the modules well before Orientation – they are mandatory.
View the modules in succession – the information builds from one module to the next.
Pace yourself – give yourself time to understand each module.
Review the modules again, especially your intended major program of study, prior to your class enrollment period.
If possible, we recommend using a computer to complete this course rather than a mobile device.
Take notes and test your knowledge throughout the modules with the Test Your Knowledge icons.
